Info:

This project is a collaboration between: architects, construction teams, interpretation design teams, and me, a music and sound specialist. On this project I'm collaborating directly with Wells Cathedral and Thread (Heritage Architects).

This project has three main strands for me. Interpretation Design, Music and Soundscape creation, Co-Creation and Co-Production work with Wells Cathedral and its communities.

My brief is to design the music and sound side for the interpretation of a new visitor offer, that is being built at Vicars' Close in Wells Cathedral. It is also to create a comprehensive and musical soundscape that encapsulates the heritage, story and the people that have lived and worked on Vicars' Close in Wells, since it was built in 1348. Vicars' Close is a residential street that has housed the Vicars' Choral (the choir) of Wells Cathedral, as well as other Cathedral staff, since it's completion.

This is an ongoing project that is currently in production... I shall update as we progress, but it is shaping up to be a very exciting process!
